Trainers must hold a current TAE40116 cert IV, as well as 10735-Course in Disability First Aid which is taught to your trainers as part of course package. A background in first aid, nursing, disability care or healthcare is an advantage.

What do students need to complete course?

Students need to have a current a HLTAID003 Provide First Aid certificate. The course can be completed in one day.

What equipment do I need?

-To have the ability to accurately assess student performance, you will need:

-A height adjustable single or hospital bed

-A full sized resuscitation manikin with working lungs

-A Bag Valve Mask (BVM) 

-Standard first aid kits

Manuals, written questions, and assessor references are included in course package
